I love this post on home schooling!:) As a child, my Dad was a minister so we tried private schools, public schools and then finally home school. I'd have to say home school was the best for us, by far. When I went to college I already had a good balance between my social life and studies...I didn't need someone else to tell me what to do or to push me...I was disciplined enough to do the work myself. I think we also learned a lot of confidence from our home school years...we didn't have the constant peer pressure to act or dress a certain way or to obtain certain things...we learned to be creative instead. I plan to home school all of my children...the above entry you wrote is a wonderful resource to those of us who have to answer the question "Why do you home school?"

I so agree. I really wish public schools were better we are lucky as a nation to have them But they aren't. Good for you for making it work for you and your kids. They really are important and you will have a great idea of who they are when the dreaded teen years hit!
Hugs, Lisa

Amen! We homeschool for the very same reasons & love it.
I think I would hate to go back to the evening rush if they had to return to traditional school.
Great job.
How old are your kids, btw? My son is 11 (6th) and my daughter is 8 (3rd). Just curious.
