Please keep us posted on her condition. My MIL is also battling cancer. I think it would be helpful if researchers would also focus on discovering the causes of the many types of cancer, so we could learn how to prevent it.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Both of my parents died from cancer: my mom died of lung cancer when I was in high school, my father died in my mid-twenties from lymphoma. I know the heart-ache, the constant worry/anxiety, the relief when a checkup goes well, and the devastation when it does not. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
