Sorry I've been a bit missing in action lately. We are dealing with swine flu over here and I've been working like mad this past week in preparation for my staircase party. About your comment on my Faux Mercury Glass post: I did try some white watercolor paint on the outside of the vase to try to make it look more authentic, but it just made it look a bit muddy so I washed it off. I do think that putting some dark paint inside the base before you put the leafing on probably would turn out great!
