Here in Florida it is HOT and MUGGY. I can not believe some of my Northern friends are still getting hit with snow and when I go outside all I want to do is float in the pool and cool down. Outdoor living is very much a part of Florida living.
People often wonder why we have screened in lanais and why our pools are sceened in. Well that is because of NOSEEUMS. They are little bugs called No See Ums. You can’t see them but they bite and itch like crazy.
Homes are built so you can open up your screened in area and use it as part of your living space. Real estate here lists the entire living space of a home and then list what portion is under AIR.
With all of that said it leads me to outdoor living furniture. Outdoor Living furniture here in Florida needs to be stylish and go with your indoor furnishings.

Both of these styles would blend nicely.
Do you remember when I tiled the back lanai?
This is what it looked like AFTER:

Browns or blacks would go best for us here.
Extension tables are great because you can expand them when you need the extra table space and then fold them up when you don’t.

This mesh style would probably be much cooler than a metal seat.

PB always has great styles.

This bistro table with canvas slip covers is adorable.

Anything beachy is always fabulous. I love the color of the cushions as well.

Doesn’t that just make you want to come over for a glass of fresh squeezed lemonade and then head to the beach to put your toes in the soft white sand? Just bring the sunscreen and bug spray to keep the No See Ums away.

Gorgeous furniture – makes me wish I was there, although my problem is getting sunburnt, so I’d need a large umbrella in the middle of those tables too.
