My kids like it when I make them a Sloppy Jose Sandwich, even more than a Sloppy Joe.
Sloppy Jose’s are a Mexican twist on the traditional Sloppy Joe.
Sloppy Jose Recipe
1 lb. of ground beef
opt. onion, chopped
salt, pepper to taste
2 Tbsp Chili powder
2 Tbsp Cumin
1 can of Tomato Sauce
1 Can of water with 2 Tbsp of flour mixed in
3-4 slices of American Cheese
Cook your meat until done. If you want onions in your sandwich cook the onions in until tender. Add in the salt, pepper, chili powder and cumin. Stir in the tomato sauce. Add in the water/flour mixture and stir until completely mixed in. Add the cheese and let it melt-stir and mix it in.
Serve Sloppy Jose’s on a bun top with an extra piece of cheese.

Yum. Growing up in California some of the restaurants had taco sandwiches. I had forgotten about them till seeing your sloppy Jose’s. My kids would love these, especially the one who doesn’t like sloppy Joes the regular way.
