As you go on this weight loss journey, obviously you see yourself every day and you don’t notice the small changes taking place every day. That is one of the many reasons that I take pictures to journal this journey.
Last night we were out with friends after church and some other friends from church came in. One of the gals said “oh my goodness, you have lost so much weight in the last month, since I saw you last, that I didn’t recognize you.”
That just gave me even more resolve to keep going. (NOT that I had any plans to quit– it is really just so easy but it was nice to hear.)
I look back to one year ago –August of 2012 and I had not even begun my journey. I had no idea how drastic my life was about to change and transform.
A few nights ago, my 15 year old came in to hug me good night and as he hugged me I said “Can you believe one year ago I had not started my journey?” He said “Mom, when I look at those BEFORE pictures I don’t even remember that old mom. It’s hard to remember you like that.”
I’m glad that he has new memories of a healthy, fit and thin mom. I am still on my journey but I am getting so close to my goal and it feels wonderful.
The questions I get most often are:
1. Are you hungry- NO–I eat 6 times a day. I eat more now than I ever have in my entire married life.
2. Is it expensive– NO–My husband and I are both on the plan and our food bill has stayed the same– some goes to our plan and some goes to the grocery store now.
3. Is it hard– NO–It is the easiest thing I have ever done.
4. Do you work out all of the time–No–I have 4 kids–I don’t even have a gym membership.
If you want to talk about your struggles- I can help you– just reach out.
