One year ago yesterday I began my journey to health and weight loss.
I was hopeful but also nervous.
Nothing else had worked.
I would lose, hit a plateau, get discouraged and then stop, only to gain it all back.
WOULD THIS WORK???
Doctors told me I was healthy.
What they meant was– My test results did not have me in a state of ILLNESS — yet
Look at the old me– I was not healthy.
It didn’t make any sense that a doctor would tell me that I was healthy and yet they had no answers for me.
I was told to just keep doing what I was doing because –”at least my test results were all good”.
I began my journey on Oct 5, 2012 and I am so grateful EVERY day for this amazing journey.
Not only have I lost weight– I am REALLY HEALTHY and fit now.
I know exercise is NOT the key to weight loss– get your metabolism working — let it do all the work and enjoy the journey.
When I started my journey my husband was not going to do this with me.
He ran 3 miles a day for 4 months…and didn’t lose any weight.
He had watched me dwindling away and decided to start too.
Not only am I healthy but my husband is healthy –
AND our kids have their parents back.
We have energy to keep up with our kids because we have our metabolisms back.
Our children are learning healthy habits so they never have to go on this journey.
