My First Post

by CHERI on May 12, 2009

Well, I have been thinking about starting this blog for a while and decided to sit down this morning and start. I will be publishing all kinds of decorating tips, do it yourself projects. (My dear husband used to dread the word “project” but he has learned not to fret because he always likes the finished product.) There will be recipes, ways to save time and money. I am not into making my kids Halloween costumes out of dryer lint or anything crazy like that but I do LOVE to see how much I can save and still get the best quality available. If it doesn’t make sense, because of the time involved in a project, that definitely goes into the factor but getting the best deal and finding new ways to save, thrills me. I hope you will forward this website to all of your friends and have them forward it on as well. I would love to see how quickly I can hit 1,000 visitors-I need your help to get to this first goal. I hope to have advertisers that fit the flavor of my blog on here. As I get into this I would love to have companies donate products that I can pass on to my readers by having a drawing-wouldn’t that be fun. I think so. I have a lot of fun ideas and wish I could share them all right now but I think your brain might go into overload and I might loose your interest.

Today I am going to post a photo of a project I just finished for my sweet friend. She asked me to decorate a ‘one of a kind’ lampshade for her little girl’s room. I hand strung the beads and made the roses, that embellish the bottom of the lampshade, by hand. It was fun to work on and I really loved the way it came out. It looks so precious in her room. I will also post the bows I custom made to match some of her daughters dresses.

HI Cheri,
saw your post on FB and wanted to check out your blog. It came out really nice with your fancy backgrounds and borders. Love your pics of the hairbows. Hope this goes well.
