Don’t forget about the give-a-way (it’s down a little further)– go down to read how to enter. I will tell you, one of the things you need to do is to subscribe (on the top, left hand side panel).
If you guys help me get the word out by doing a post about my give-a-way, let me know and I will put your name in again-that wasn’t goin to be part of the give-a-way rules this time, but I am so sick and I just need your help to get the word out, so that is my THANK YOU.
If you want to use the picture above or your favorite picture or pictures for your post, go right ahead and do so. If you don’t know how to grab a picture, let me know and I will walk you through the very easy steps.
(I will TRY to double check to make sure I haven’t missed any pictures-some time this weekend-someone mentioned a picture I posted in the post below, not being in the pictures on Its So Very Cheri 2 – OUR FAVORITE THINGS (I did find it over there)but if I find any, I will get them posted and then I will do a Post showing the ones I added. There are quite a few so I could have missed some.) I just went in and did notice some doubles and some things are still out of place. I thought I had gotten it all cleaned up before I got terribly sick but I will work on getting it in better shape.
I also PLAN on having Mr Linky up on Sunday Night by 8 p.m. for the first ever KNOCK OFF KNOCK OUT party on Monday. I look forward to seeing some of your handiwork and showing off some of your creative talents on my blog on Tuesday. As sick as I am, I am very exited about the party. I just wish I had been able to work on a project this week for the first party but oh well I guess it wasn’t meant to be this time so I will get to look at everything you guys have done–so brilliantly. I also wanted to let you all know that your knock off knock out can even be something you saw at your friends house and you have no idea where she got it or who made it but you can do a knock of of your friends item, it doesn’t have to be an IKEA or Southern Living knock off.
I will give you an update, so you sweet prayer warriors can be praying for me. Thankfully, I am not dying and will be able to raise my children to a ripe old age (at least this isn’t killing me.) My husband took me to the hospital and they ran all kinds of tests. They did a CAT scan and you all will be glad to know, they did find a brain but thankfully nothing wrong with it. There was nothing in the x-rays they did either. They stuck tubes down my nose (and that is one thing God did not mean to have go down your nose-it is painful. One thing I could be thankful for was that the headache was so bad the pain in my head distracted the pain in my nasal cavity.) They took lots of blood. They did find my potassium to be very low and gave me a potassium pill. I can’t even remember all they did to me. I know my pain level was at a 9 1/2 when we got there (and I have a high pain tolerance–I LOVE labor and delivery, if that tells you anything) and after the first dose of meds it went down to about a 6 so they gave me another dose and it went down to about a 4 1/2 so they gave me a different med and it went down to about a 3 so they gave me another dose and it stayed at a 3 (this is over quite awhile-I don’t want anyone thinking they are filling me with meds, one on top of the other-we were there about 5 hours). They sent us home thinking they were breaking the cycle of the headache and I could check in with my doctor on Monday, but did tell us if we needed to come back to not hesitate. We got home about 2 a.m. and I was very sick to my stomach (and almost lost my cookies in the yard- but I hadn’t had any cookies for hours and hours and hours. I was so weak I was walking like a 90 year old lady, so no matter how much I wanted to get in the house, it just wasn’t happening last night). The meds they gave me cause you to get very sick to your stomach while you are sitting up. I couldn’t decided if I need to head for the bathroom or my bed, I collapsed into bed and slept for 4 hours but when I woke up, around 6 a.m., my headache was pounding again and my pain level was at about an 8 1/2. I woke my husband up after about 30 minutes and told him we had to head back to the hospital.
By the time we got there my pain was at a 9 1/2 again. They tried a couple of other things and were able to get the pain to a 2-this time- before sending us home and this time with 3 prescriptions-just in case I got sick again in the night (this stay lasted about 6 hours-my poor husband is so tired). I sat up to leave (remember this is the meds that makes you feel sick as soon as you are n an upright position and I just about passed out and begain dripping in sweat again and told them I was going to get sick. They gave me some nauseau meds and said “be sure and keep that down”. What do you say to that one when you’ve just told them you are about to get sick? “SURE, I’LL WORK ON THAT.” I made it home only to loose the ice chips I had at the hospital. I was finally able to eat a little bit, late this afternoon (my first attempt at eating in 51 hours) and was able to eat again for dinner-so those are very positive signs and I haven’t had to take any of the pain meds. The headache is not totally gone but it is do-able and hopefully will be gone when I wake up in the morning.
I will, hopefully, see my Dr on Monday morning (pray I get in quickly-I have to go and just sit and wait to see if they can fit me in because they are booked solid) and then the hospital thinks he needs to send me to a Neurologist (to determine if this was a migraine) and they think I should do a sleep study to see if I stop breathing in my sleep.
Now off to bed I go–it seems like that is about the only place I have been for the past several days but at least I can go tonight and actually get some sleep—well, we will see about that because Miss G4 fell asleep around 5:30 which means she will probably be awake in the middle of the night–Oh Dear Lord, pul–eeeease—–let her need extra sleep tonight and not wake up in the middle of the night.
Nighty Night sweet ladies.

Wow Cheri –
your ordeal sounds like mine after giving birth- mine was a spinal headache..
I hope you start to feel better and they figure out what is wrong. It is terrible to be sick but frustrating to not know what it is so you can fix it.
Hang in there – and have your hubby hang in there too…
I hope that they are able to find out something on Monday. I hope that someone cancels and you are able to get in quickly. Take care.
Yikes, I surely hope they are checking for everything, Norwalk Virus, those really bad flus going around, West Nile Virus (I actually know a nurse who came down with that, she uses a walker today, but is alive)…I say hold-off on your blog until you are really feeling better! You will be in my prayers!
Cheri – you poor thing!!!! Moms can't get sick, you know that! HA HA I am SOOOO going to put you on my prayer list. It's one of those things where you don't want them to find something, but you DO want them to find something fixable so you know what it is. It's so frustrating. I hope you were able to get some sleep and I am thinking about you. If I were closer I'd come over and help. Take care ~
OK, Cheri – Here are the pictures I like the most…the fishing poles on the pier in b&w, the bird house, and the yellow shutters (in color). I've already subscribed AND I posted your giveaway on my blog. HOWEVER, since I just won your last giveaway, let someone else win this one. I just like to play along! 🙂 Hope you're feeling better, girl ~
Cheri- so sorry you are having so much trouble and that the Drs are at a loss. Will pray they come up with something soon. Am wondering if you use any kind of artificial sweetners or products with them in it? These products have been giving alot of people problems and one of my friends had the same issues you seem to be having – it took a few days but she received alot of relief after she stopped eating or drinking any food products with sweetners in them (stevia is ok as it is an herb) Just a thought-
Praying

Mary,
Thank you for trying to think of possibilities for me. I really do appreciate it but I do not use any of the diet sweeteners or products with them in them. I did several years ago but we started noticing that we were more thirsty and our thirst was never quenched and we began wondering if there was something in the products that actually made you crave them and become somewhat addicted so we quit using them and we have gone so far as to rarely ever have pop with sugar. I do make cookies (with sugar) and cakes for the kids from time to time but it isn't something we have in the house daily.
That would have been a good start for me had we still been using any of those products. You are so sweet to try and think this through for me.
Cheri
Bless your heart. Maybe you just have some kind of horrid flu. I hope you are better soon. I can't believe that you can make us all laugh even in the midst of everything.
Charla
Charla-
Thank you for thinking of a possibility but when they shoved that "special" tube up my nasal cavity and then swished saline solution around-they determined that I did not have ANY influenza at all. They also did a pregnancy test. After being pregnant 6 times and having 4 children I could have told them they didn't need to do that test. I had a gay male nurse and when he handed the cup to me and told me how to pee in the cup. I looked up at him and said "I've been pregnant 6 times, I can assure you I KNOW how to pee in a cup". There happened to be another female nurse in the room and she cracked up.
Best of luck, migraines can be awful!
