Before we get to the KNOCK OFF KNOCK OUT party I want to share some exciting news with you. I have had the honor of getting to know Kelee from the Katillac Shack. She posted this great piece last week and you know who it reminded me of FIFI’s stuff that I LOVE so much so hers was kinda of double knock off. Kelee is from Kansas City so we were able to “TALK” about places that we are both very familiar with. She lives minutes from my little sister. Do you sense a long time friendship developing here-I hope so. I truly hope to develop a long time friendship-cuz’ this girl likes the eclectic look too. I like her because she is so sweet, not because of who she is. She contacted me to let me know she was doing a $100 Hobby Lobby give-a-way for all those creative people out there. $100 girls!!!! Did your heart just start pumping faster-(the thrifty part of me says-watch for the sales so you can spread that $100 out even further-if you win.) She was asking 4 of us to host her give-a-way. I feel so honored to be able to be a part of this give-a-way. Kelee has been on the Oprah Show. Do you know what I would do if someone called me and said Oprah loves your stuff and wants to have you on her show—–. She’s been on several-like Oxygen, Discovery Channel, CNN…she is big and she asked me to be a part. Thank you Thank you Thank you for allowing me to be a part. So head over to Kelee’s sight The Katillac Shack to register but don’t forget to come back and post your KNOCK OFF KNOCK OUT.

If you are holding off for another week to get your KNOCK OFF KNOCK OUT listed-don’t wait-you are getting extra exposure on The Katillac Shack this week. Hurry get those projects done. The party is up all week long. I pick my favorites to post on Monday but the party doesn’t come down till Friday.

I am going to post my project here in a bit but I haven’t downloaded my camera yet-it’s a video clip and the first time I’ve done one with this camera, so lets all pray it works and if it does I will have a vlog for you. (Sorry everything is behind schedule-I have had an allergic reaction to the meds I have been on and have been very ill. Until 2 weeks ago, I only had to remember one med I was allergic to, now I get to remember 3 meds I am allergic to. This one will probably be in my body till tomorrow-one more day…) SO I will add my piece in a bit, but for now I am going to try and eat a little something with my family.

Last week Jennifer posted the J Crew CAbi Muse Rosette T-shirt. I had already been thinking about making something like that for my daughter. I went to visit her blog for the first time to find her tutorial on how to make them-isn’t it funny how things like that happen from time to time.

I had already picked up this t-shirt from Wal-Mart for $1.00 so I was one step closer.

So I went back and picked up a boys white t-shirt in a 5T(it gave me more material to work with) for $2.00 and cut out a heart shape (2 1/2″ length) and then cut my heart down a little to make a smaller one. (Jennifer used a circle. I also think a 4-leaf clover shape would work great.)

My videos aren’t posting. I get a note from google that my video is loaded and nothing is there-it did that with several pictures as well. I will continue trying but for now I will tell you what I did and once my camera battery is done charging, if I can’t get the videos to load I will post a finished product picture.

I put the needle up through the middle of the heart and then gathered a little material towards one of the top arches of the heart, then the other and then the bottom, bringing each back to the center of the heart. Then I would do the same thing with the smaller heart on top of the big heart but I would lay then in the opposite direction of each other (bottom point of the big heart heading one direction and the small heart the opposite way.)

I laid the middle of the next heart right up against the last heart rosette and did the same thing.

I used 14 large and small hearts for Miss G4’s t-shirt. So for the thrifty price of $3.00 she got an adorable t-shirt. As soon as it was done I thought-I need to make her a pillow like this.

These J Crew and CAbi Muse knock offs have quite a different price tag-don’tcha think???

$32.50
tee

$28.00

I know these are adult women prices but a child’s version wouldn’t be much less so for $3.00 I scored on this one.

It’s week 3 of the Knock Off Knock Out party. If you have something that you have made or bought, that is a Knock Off of something you have seen or tasted, and you made something, that looks or tastes or feels or smells (you get the idea) like the Knock Off and it is Fabulous, then you just made a Knock Out. I’m not picky-It can be anything at all. If you have a picture of the original-great if not just tell where you saw it or tasted it. I say this is where THRIFTY meets CREATIVE SENSATION.
The KNOCK OFF KNOCK OUT party will be here every Monday and you can post to it throughout the week. Snatch the button on the side and help get the word out. I will post some of my favorites for tomorrows post.

I am also posting this to Met Mondays and Rhoda’s thrifty Finds , and Twice Remembered-MAKE YOUR MONDAY Gina”s party at The Shabby Chic Cottage Transformation Thursday Trash to Treasure party also doing Thrifty Thursday and last but not least A Soft Place to Land DIY .

Here are the Guidelines:

1. You must enter your permalink (not your URL) to this post. Your permalink is when you click on the title of that post and the address in the address box shows your permalink. That way people clicking over to see your project don’t have to find the post, it takes them right to it.

2. You must link back to me so your readers can find the party and join in or check out what everyone else posted for the week.

If you come back and find that your link got deleted it is due to number 1 or 2 not being done and you can re-post with the correct info.

I look forward to seeing all of your projects and I will post a few tomorrow for others to see some of my favorites. This is a great week to get featured because of The Katillac Shack coverage. Remember I LOVE reading every single comment and coming to visit you. Join my followers and subscribe and I will do the same.

Cheri you are on fire! I don't know how you do it all. I love Kelee! I participated in her campaign for dog rescue and had fun making a neckerchief for my girls ( yorkie and collie)! She is a power house! Thanks for letting us know!

Hey Cheri! Thanks for commenting on my little jacket post. I've seen you blog party mentioned on a couple of the blogs I subsribe to, but I don't normally make knock offs of actual pieces, it's generally a cluster of different items that work as my inspiration. If the items made don't have to be knock offs of specific items than I might be able to come up with something! lol

Love your tee-shirt makeover, Cheri! 🙂 I paid $3.50 for my girls' tees…could shoot myself over it now. 🙂

Haha…I'd totally do a YouTube tutorial, except I figured it out completely by chance. Have NO idea how I got to the page to even embed it in my blog. 😉
