It’s been a busy weekend.  All 4 kids were in a fashion show this weekend.

Then the crafting began.
I have been working on all kinds of projects this weekend and started getting a little decorating done.

While we were in Missouri, I stopped in at this one store.  It is a huge freight recovery store-if you see something you want you better get it, because it may not be there the next day.

I saw a package of these clear numbered rubber stamps for $2.50.  They normally run about $12.00 :

I just LOVE numbered and lettered things.
I pulled them out and made some numbered coasters.

Have you ever worked with this sandable paper?
It is pretty cool.
I used it for
Follow Me on Pinterest
and some Mod Podge and you have your very own customizable coasters.
Then I worked on some plates.
These were just plain glass plates but I added our last name initial with the fleur-de-lis and leaf pattern.
I Mod Podged it on as well.

I scuffed it up because I wanted it to look aged.

I scuffed up the plate as well..

I will show the completion of these this week.

Then I made these glass vases.
I’ve seen them all over the place

–I got everything from The Dollar Store and glued together the vase piece and the candle obra with my Gorilla Glue.  They are already being used for decorations and I will show you the rest of this project on Wed for the Celebrate the Holidays party.

Then I made some

chenille powder pink
and medium pink
candy canes

for our

PINK tree

–I can not wait to show it to you–.

It is so
My sweet friend Roeshel needs everyone’s helping voting for her project every day–she is a finalist in a makeover project with True Value–
I’m voting daily and hope you get it

Everyone is welcome to post to the party

You've sure been a creative little busy bee Cheri! I am just now realizing you live in Naples. My folks own a condo there and we've been down several times. Such a beautiful place! They'll be wintering there again, so maybe I'll get myself down there and we can have coffee 🙂

30 Rosie@Journey to Charm November 23, 2009 at 10:47 pm

Hi Cheri. Thanks for stopping by my blog and adding yourself as a follower. I've been sneaking on your blog for quite awhile now, so now I'm going to add myself as a follower. Oh, goodness-LOVE the plates. Rosie

31 Elizabeth November 24, 2009 at 12:14 am

Hi, Cheri: I love lettered and numbered things too. These coasters are great gifts.
I have a question about the tool you used to seal off your ribbon from fraying in the craft tutorial. Is that just a wood burning tool? After your tutorial I am now becoming a tassel queen and sealing off ribbon with a tiny strip of Elmer's takes way too long!
You can reply in my comments or e_bogardus AT hotmail

Thanks, and have a great Thanksgiving!
