The Friday Funnies
I continue to get a lot of e-mail about the posts from this week. I have not laughed that hard in a long time.
Here is the plan (that goes right along with the last post I just did.):
1} I will have a linky party up on Fridays(linky is at the bottom of this post) and it will be open till the following Thursday morning. (on Thursday I will be deciding on a winner).
2} You can post whatever you want, as far as funny stories go–no topics.
You can add pictures or videos. I will even allow you to post things you have found in cyber space–(You tube etc)
I was leaning towards topics but then I have gotten e-mails from people who don’t have little ones at home and I don’t want to leave anyone out. Plus if it is hilarious and I never pick that topic we could miss out on a lot of knee slapping fun.
I will eliminate things that go against the standards of my blog–I do not want any sex videos etc posted on here.
3} On Friday I will post the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
I would really appreciate it if you would pass this on to all your friends at work, church, school, home school groups, play groups….etc etc etc… This is not just for woman but men will find this hilarious as well. Can you hear the pillow talk now.
LAUGHING is so good for the soul. It changes you psychologically, when you laugh. I think there are a lot of people out there who NEED a good laugh.
On a side note:
As fun as all of the “awards” are out there, and I really do appreciate being nominated, I really do not have time to go through them and I always feel terrible when they sit in my e-mail for weeks as I hope to steal away a few minutes to get it done… so I am going to make a request. If there is something you want to know about me, the family, my projects…ASK and I will post it in a Questions and Answer area, for everyone to be able to click on and read. I don’t mind answering the questions, it is just all the time involved in doing them and then sending them to a certain number of blogs. If you think my blog is creative, innovative, funny,… do me a favor and do a post about it letting people know about my blog. I am going to put a little note on the side about not doing awards, any more. Please Please Please do not take this personally. I just have so much on my plate right now–I am trying to learn how to create my own header etc and trying to figure out how to do several techy things as well as all the other things I do on a regular basis. I crawl into bed somewhere between 12:30 and 2 am every day, and I am up –depending on the day by 6:30 or 7 in the morning and I go non stop all day long and still have a list of thing I did not get accomplished.
I know I have 3 awards as of today so I will tell you 5 things about myself that I don’t think I have posted on these awards before and as I find the awards in my e-mail I will tell them I did this post with 5 things about me and hope it covers what I was supposed to do for that award. 1}I can not stand to wear long night GOWNS to bed-It drives me crazy to get twisted in them in the night so it is either a short gown or a pant and top style. 2}Out of all the cousins on my Dad’s side of the family, including us, there are 7 GIRLS and my Dad’s step brother has 5 GIRLS as well–there are NO BOYS 3}Out of all the cousins on my Mom’s side including us, there are 7 GIRLS and 4 BOYS–can you say GIRLS RULE BOYS DROOL (then Prince Charmings side has limited girls) 4}I would love my own TV show–who wouldn’t–I even have the theme PLANNED out…and it is a GREAT idea too…HGTV, NBC, CBS… do you want a TV show that rivals with TY and is a helping solution to all the bank problems out there right now and the economy in a terrible rut–CALL ME. 5}I have bigger plans for my blog than anyone knows. It is too much to share, we will see if I get there in the next 5 years.
I have 3 posts today-this is the 3rd, the previous one is about a project but also about my LISTS–ha ha and the other is BY REQUEST the BUTTER Cookie recipe I made earlier this week.
My son,G1 (12 years old) told me the other day that he was so glad he was born in this “time” because kids in the past just didn’t have very much to do, play with or keep them entertained. KIDS IN THE PAST include his father and I. His brother, G2 (11 years) then said “Can you imagine PaPa playing kick the can–what was the big deal with that game?” I explained that back in Papa’s Day there mom’s did a lot of canning, canned veggies were a totally new concept. You got fruit in your stocking because it was a treat to have fruit in the winter months. I continued with…being able to go to the store a get canned goods started out as a treat, so having a can to kick around was a fun new game. I remember some of the stories my Dad has told of things he did with the collaboration of his friends. One day the boys went to each of the neighbors houses who had babies and asked if they could take the babies for walks. The Mom’s would say things like, “how sweet of you boys”, then get the baby and the boys would push the baby in the stroller to the next house. Once each of the boys had a baby in a baby carriage, they put the rest of their plan into action.
What those mothers didn’t know was that the boys wanted to have a RACE. They would all get lined up and then see who could run the fastest, with those babies in those OLD carriages, not strapped in and probably holding on for dear life. I told my Dad they should all be thankful no one tipped a carriage and hurt one of those babies or worse.
After several races, they took the babies home, those young mothers, none the wiser. Be sure to add my URL-I will add making a new button to MY LIST-to your post. Add your post into the linky party.
