I know this is not the Its so Very Renovated but I decided to try something different. You are welcome to post any of your normal projects this week. The Monday — Its So Very Creative and the Wednesday parties — Spotlight Yourself cover that Renovated items so Tuesday will be for flubs, funnies, projects gone wrong, things your kids did and lived to tell about it…
We were living in our home in Lees Summit, Mo and we were having new carpet laid in the house. Why were we having new carpet laid in our new home–well my parents had sold their home and were looking for homes in Florida and they were living with us. My Dad is a retired Hallmark Artist and he had permanent black ink from India. It was a tiny little bottle. My big boys were really little at the time and he had shown them this ink one day. G2 was curious and picked up the bottle. It had a little dropper. Can you imagine how much fun it was watching it drip all over the carpet, room by room. then he got quite a bit in our Master Bedroom. He came into the kitchen with BLACK INK ALL OVER HIM and this panicked look on his face-like ‘it was one little dot on me and now it is everywhere and it keeps getting bigger’. He walked into the kitchen and happen to stand right in the middle of one of our brand new floor tiles, We had just laid new tile in the kitchen. I turned around and just told him not to move, I did not want it in the grout. I put him in the tub and tried to scrub one of the tiny little drips but all I did was spread it further and further (now I had the panicked look on my face). When they came to lay the new carpet, they wouldn’t lay it till I went and got a spray can of KILZ. We had a custom built entertainment center out of solid Cherry Wood and that thing was heavy. We had it moved out from the wall and the boys thought it was so fun to go behind and play. My Mom stayed with the boys while I ran for Kilz and when I got home G2 had tried another art project—One long crayon mark all the way down that stretch of wall. Neither of them had ever done it before and never did it after that. He was just trying to express his creative side that month–I guess.

So excited about Wed. Curiosity kills me. 😉
Hope all is well! Have a great night!
this does sound fun…I am not sure if you are following me or not? I do have a button I would love to be added to this lovely side bar:) You are so sweet!
OK, I linked up my crazy family camp gone wrong experience!
Man those kiddos,..they just seem to “know” when to make a mess, eh? Every time we get new carpet, clean the carpet, have the floors finished…there is a spill a scarp and scratch instantaneously!
OHH WOW! They were brave little ones! Cute story. I need to think of some of my Not Quite Right moments! Have a great day!
Glitter. Purple glitter to be exact. It is everywhere and will be found in odd places until the end of days, I suspect…
