Chalkboard

I decided I wanted to re-do the chalkboard I made last year.

I painted the white frame Khaki.

Then added depth with some highlights of black, white and gray.

I really liked the new look.

Every once in a while a “girl” just needs a new look.

It looks good with the stucco wall color on the front lanai.

and with it being a chalkboard it is a great way to display…

the Birdsnest wreath?

I made the birdsnest out of yarn–it is a multi colored yarn

I just carefully draped some yarn over the bottom of a small bowl

and carefully hot glued it together , till I got the look I wanted.

I had some small wood balls and I painted and flecked them with color,

added in my dollar store Mamma bird,

ripped some taupy fabric I had in my craft supplies

and made a little bow and added it all to my

Thrift Store wreath.

I want to find something perfect to add to the wreath-its just a little too plain and not whimsical enough for me.
