I have been so frustrated because I have been trying to get pictures off of my i-phone for days –project photos and I can not get them to load-ugh!
So some of my projects that I post over the next couple of days may not have all of the tutorial step pictures but you will get the idea.
On to funner things…
I ordered and received my MOO business cards–have you ever ordered Moo business cards?
THEY ARE AWESOME.
I stayed up till about 3:30 in the morning working on this project so it would be ready to show you and share something with you.
Take a look at this step stool that my 2 little “BIG” kids use to brush their teeth.
How do business cards and a step stool tie in together?
Well Roeshel from the DIY Show Off had done a project and I decided I really liked her idea.
I painted the entire stool in my DecoArt WHITE Stencil Paint. I added a little water to my brush so I got a white wash application.
I wiped it off then did it again and left it to dry. It dried pretty quickly.

I covered the sides, the “legs”, with the business cards using Gorilla Wood Glue, I just used it like a decoupage’, after all I was applying it to wood and paper which is made from wood. It worked great.

Then I printed off the words LIFEGUARD STATION no.314 in a light gray color.
I used no. 314 because I have 3 boys & 1 girl and that equals 4 kiddos.
Cute–eh!!!
I applied Gorilla Wood Glue to my signage as well. Let it dry then I sanded over it with my Sanding Bug. I wiped all the dust off then sprayed it with my Deft Finishing Spray from Rockler.
I sanded and re-applied the spray 2 more times.
NOW–if you attend the Country Living Magazine Fair this weekend in Ohio or next month in Atlanta–be sure to go by the Gorilla Glue booth, they will have our tutorials there but they will also have the DIY Club business cards and you will get a Moo DISCOUNT. They are AWESOME business cards. You can upload a different picture for every card if you would like. They are a nice thick card and the photo quality is GREAT!
I ordered 4 different designs but you can order a hundred different designs if you would like to0. How cool is that?
The DIY Girls will not be in the Gorilla Glue booth this year but we–(the DIY Gals and Gorilla Glue) are already making plans for next year and we will be in the booth next year doing tutorials for you.
Take lots of pictures for me.
