I have one girl and she came after my 3 boys. I was going to relish every girly moment I could. I adore all 3 of my boys but it is fun getting to do the girly things too.
I learned how to make hair bows so she could always have the perfect color and style of bow for her outfits.
We have lots and lots of hair bows, scrunchies, pony tails elastic bands, head bands, hair explosions, and lots of ribbon for more bows.
I knew what I wanted to make to help organize some of her bows.
I grabused DecoArt Fern Green Patio Paint.
This awesome glass knob is from Rockler? I am going to have to get some more. They are very affordable.
My vinyls from Design Divas.

I used a couple of DISChangers.
My soldering iron. DO NOT walk away from this thing, it gets very hot.
Keep a wet paper towel or an old WET washcloth– nearby.
I took one of Miss Goo’s tiny Easter dresses and stitched extra strands of ribbon to the waste band.
Do you see the ribbon, how it frays? I have a solution –I heat sealed all of the ribbons. I do this when I make her hair bows as well.
And now they look like this. You just barely touch them with the soldering iron. After you heat seal each ribbon it is best to wipe it with a wet cloth. The synthetic ribbon turns black on the soldering iron and it will re-attach to your next ribbon.
We have tons

and tons
of bows and this is just a tiny fraction of her bow collection.

I got this adorable Shabby Chic shoe organizer. I filled it full of pony tail elastic, some of her scrunchies and some headbands.
Then we have baskets
and more and more baskets full of hair bows, scrunchies and accessories.
Time to get this project done.
I grabbed a piece of bead board and sanded the edges and top of the board with my sanding bug.

Then painted the beadboard with the DecoArt Fern Green.
I let it dry then I drilled a hole with my Dremel 4000.

I had to get a shorter screw, since this is not a cabiet door or drawer but that was a super easy fix.

Then for extra durability I added a little Gorilla Glue. This will be in a little girls room and I am sure she will play with bows and be putting them in her dolls hair so I wanted it to be super strong. Then screwed in the Glass door knob from Rockler.
I attached my DISChangers to the back and just before I let them dry over night.
I attached my vinyls from Design Divas.
I found the center and attached Gabraelle first then added the scrolly letters over top of the first name. A flat surface is best for vinyls, but the bead board was the look I wanted and I will just be super careful with it.
Her hair bows are now more organized and it is a decorative piece as well. It also has sentimental value. I can easily remove the ribbons and restore the dress to its original look. I just love it.
