This is my parents’ Maser Bedroom it needed a facelight.
The windows needed updated.
Much better.
The ceiling fan needed a facelift too.
So I took it apart
Then it was time to paint all the walls with Mythic Paint.
They picked Elusive Dream, which was just a shade or two darker than the original color but a good resell color.
I painted the ceiling fan:
I added this great wallpaper stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils.
Geisha’s Garden Wall Pattern Kit

It looks so different with the other layers and on the dark wall?
I used DecoArt Metallic Paint.
It gave this great shimmery color.
I went over it again with the DecoArt metallic gold mixed with some of the white Stencil paint to lighten up a little. I wanted some of the shimmer to come through so I off set the stencil a little.
This stencil was so quick and easy. It actually came with 2 floral overlays and 2 butterflys but once this had gone up my parents liked the simplicity of it and didn’t want anything else.
Then they wanted the Damask Stencil Verde over the window and over the entry to their bathroom.
I used a small portion of it and then used my stencil roller to do all of my stencil painting this time.

I used the DecoArt Metallic paint color without the white mixed in.
The new curtain rods and curtains were hung.
The ceiling fan was put back together and re-installed.
What an amazing change the fan makes.
and it was complete.

You did a good job. The stenciling adds a luxurious touch. I also like the fan.
