Do you have photoshop?  Do you play around with it?

I played around one day with a couple of photos and wanted to share how the techniques turned out.  I have Photoshop Elements 8.  If you have a newer version-I’m jealous–no not really.  I am grateful that I have PE8.  If you don’t have Photoshop-getting a later version is a great way to get it at an affordable price.  I went into the FILTER file to apply different techniques.
I think this would be a fabulous way to do a unique and affordable Christmas present for those that you love. Maybe I should start a business doing it –it was really fun to play around with the photos.

I started out with this beautiful photo of some Hydrangea. Then I played around with several different techniques.

Texturize

I tried mixing a couple of techniques which gave it a completely different look. I think the texturize gives it a canvas look.

Texture and Crosshatch

Next I did the same thing to a pumpkin photo. I figured I better get this post up quick since FALL decor will soon be a thing of the past, at least for this year. The first photo is untouched. I tried a lot of other techniques but didn’t keep the ones I disliked.

I love this! I had to share it because I think it is incredibly beautiful, looks like a painting in some of the versions.

Love all of these techniques. I have photoshop CS2 (old old version) but hardly ever play with the brush settings!
