This is my fun twist on an ADVENT Calendar.
I went to the Dollar Tree and grabbed a variety of colorful socks. They aren’t Christmasy colors –just fun bright colors in solids, polka dots, stripes and argyles. Most of the socks came in packages of 3 so it wasn’t much to get the variety that I wanted for 24 days worth of “STOCKINGS”.
I grabbed Two-12″ x 24″ Canvas wrapped canvas from Canavs Corp
8 black hooks
and
twine from Canvas Corp
24 clothespins
I printed off the numbers 1 through 24 to look like miniature tags
scissors to cut the numbered tags
I used super glue from Gorilla Glue to glue the numbered tags to the clothes pins
Next you want to write up notes for each of the 24 days–something that you will DO with the kids like:
Watch a Christmas Movie together
Make Christmas Cookies
Go for a drive and look for the Best Decorated House
One on One time with Mom or Dad
Go for a family walk
Make an ornament
Dance to Christmas Music
Write a letter to Santa Claus
Those are just a few of the ideas.
Now I have a question for you
Are you getting your RED projects ready for my
RED party on the 9th?
Head over to Domestically Speaking and enter your WHITE HOLIDAY projects today.
I have another canvas project over at the DIY Club.
I will be posting this project into the Multi Color party.
