This cake is not for the faint of heart. It is loaded with calories so don’t eat too much. Move over Paula Deen and Martha Stewart.
You will need:
“crust”
1 butter cake mix
1 stick of softened butter
1 egg
1 Cup chopped almonds
“filling”
1 brick of softened cream cheese
2 eggs
1 stick of softened butter
2 tsp almond flavoring
16 oz of powdered sugar
Mix together the cake mix, butter and egg until thoroughly mixed together. You can either mix in the almonds or sprinkle them on top of the crust.
Mix together all of the “filling” ingredients until smooth. Layer on top of the crust layer. Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes.
It will still seems soft in the middle of the cake. Let it set up and cool down before serving.

anything with almond extract is MINE! mmmm sounds divine. BUT this WILL be bad for my waistline and the bet I have going with the hubster to meet our fitness goals….so I have to wait awhile to make it. But I will ….oh yes….I will! mmmm
