Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

I remember when I was in college, home and working at a fabric store.  I was closing the store with the manager and another employee.  As we walked to our cars all parked pretty close together a young man jumped out from the front of my car with a gun and took all of us back into the store.  He held up at gun point as the manager opened the safe and gave him all of the money.

We were instructed to go home and not call the police.  He walked us to our cars and had us all get in and drive off and he ran down the hill towards a subdivision.

We all pulled into the next restaurant and called the police.  I was trembling from head to toe.  I had terrible nightmares for a few nights and had a hard time sleeping.

The Lord protected all of us that night.  He was our shield.
