Tracey (Notes From A Cottage Industry) was one of the first blogs that I ever followed. I love getting lost in her blog.
She also has an etsy shop.
So without further adieu…Welcome Tracey
Hi there. My name is Tracey Buxton, and I’m pretty thrilled to be writing a guest post here today for my friend Cheri. I’ve been blogging since 2006 over at Notes From A Cottage Industry.
I’m all about living a charmed life on a shoestring, following my bliss (which vacillates between many artsy-craftsy things…from paining thrifted furniture I have rescued to making all sorts of paper goods for entertaining and gift wrapping.
I have a grown up girl job by week day, and I love to stay up late doing any number of things at night, making the absolute most out of each and every day.
To give you a feel for my lifestyle and blog Cheri has asked me to share some of my favorite posts today with you, which turned out to be a pretty daunting task, as I have more than a bajillion posts to date. That being said, I’m going to give it my best shot here, and you can check out my blog if you like what you read here.
By the way, these are in no particular order, just so ya know…
1. The post where I, along with one of my besties, manage to move an eight foot by eight foot hutch into my craft room, after painting the room, and the hutch.
2.There have been many posts with entertaining ideas, and one of my all time favorites was the very first time I entertained as a recently suddenly-single girl in my new-to-me cottage.
3.This post really isn’t about me following my bliss, or how I like to add charm to every day life, but it does give you some background on me…
4.There was the post about my kitchen re-do, starting with the kitchen counter-front that I recreated on a shoestring budget and some elbow grease..
5.The posts about renovating 41 Taylor, an old house turned event spot by my friend Tracey and I were all great memories with lots of inspiring ideas I think. Papering the bathroom walls with old book pages was my favorite I think…
6. Baking is one of my real passions, and I am never happier (more happy?…um…I am happiest when I am creating a sweet treat in the kitchen. My most favorite thing to bake is cupcakes, as I shared in this post.
7.I also find happiness in thrifting, and creating new treasures out of old junk, like I shared here.
8.If you’ve read my blog at all, you’ll know that I am all about family, and those grand babies. (you’ll see a post about them here, for example.)
9.My Weekly Words to Live By were a Sunday staple of mine for a long time, but I started to wonder if my readers were tired of them, so I stopped. I recently brought them back, and I am so glad I did.
10.Not only do I love baking, but I am basically into any kind of desserts, and my current passion is home made ice cream…along with all of the many ways to serve and package it, as I shared here. Hopefully this gives you a good idea of who I am and what I am all about. I hope you enjoyed reading a bit about me, and I especially want to thank Cheri for this opportunity to meet you here, in the cozy little world called Blog-land.
Thanks Tracey
