I posted a week ago that I was making my own vanilla
It has been brewing for 8 days and here is what it looks like now.
This was after the vanilla had been “brewing” for just 1 day. It had changed from clear to a hint of yellow.
After just a week it has changed color quite a bit. We only have 5-7 more weeks to go.
***After 6-8 weeks some people strain the pure vanilla to remove the vanilla beans others leave them in.
To strain it you just use a coffee filter.

Yes, you are right Lisa. I use a lot of vanilla so I may have to make more before the holidays.
