I had shared about the 2 free nightstands that we got.  We redid one for our little girls room.

The other we redid for our little guys room. They couldn’t be more different– they are as different as night and day.

His is a dark finish with Oil Rubbed Bronze pulls.

Hers is white and with pink carnival glass pulls.

We sanded the nightstand down to get scurf marks out and to remove the finish, but left most of the stain on.

We filled the leaf pattern with wood putty, sanded, refilled, and re-sanded.
We did some Gorilla Glue repair work on the tracks.

We then used General Finishes lamp black milk paint to do a dry brush over the entire piece. Where the wood putty was- we just had to paint it solid black and you wouldn’t know if we didn’t tell you.

We finished the piece with our favorite Deft finish from Rockler.

We used these new pulls from D Lawless. They match perfectly.

We are thrilled with how both pieces came out and they fit the kids personalities perfectly.
