If you have priced the small containers of chalkboard paint and you want to do a large project it can add up fast.
In addition- You need 2-3 coats of paint.
I mixed up my own which was so easy.
1/3 Cup of plaster of paris
1/4 Cup water
1 Cup of Black Paint- you want basic black paint without primer etc.
Mix together the Plaster of Paris and water until you get a creamy mixture without lumps then add in the black paint. I paint the wall in one direction (vertical), then once it is completely dry paint the second coat the other directions (horizontal) and I did a third coat (vertical). Once it is completely dry- go over it with chalk to condition the chalk paint–and you are ready to go.

Happy Painting.
