DIY Cloche on a Stand

by CHERI on November 2, 2009

I did a DIY cloche on a stand project that I created out of 2 items I picked up from the Goodwill while we were in Missouri and wanted to show you how it looked before and after.  Let me just say the Goodwill prices in Missouri were seriously about 5 times better than here.

I got both items for 99 cents each.
I am posting to these parties:
The DIY showoff
Met Monday

The base started off looking like this:
This was the top before I got my hands on it:

We were up at one of the farm properties, on my husband’s side of the family and I grabbed all kinds of twigs and berries, whatever I found, to use, since my funkins and decor were all in Florida. I did get some paint and began working on it.

When I got home I did some more painting and and added my oil rubbed bronze paint, then set it all up and took some more pictures

I like the way it came out.  What do you think?

I also bought another larger glass piece for $1.49, that I am working on for another project to show you, gals.

Oh I really enjoyed Tinker armed and dangerous! LOL We had the same thing this year but my niece didn't notice that her brothers were armed. She is only 14 mths and was more in love with her new clicky shoes! Loved you tree pics!

I have to agree with NM. I do believe that was the longest post that I have ever had the pleasure of reading. 🙂

I am not sure what I enjoyed more: your Tinkerbell with a weapon or the amazing pics of the fall foliage. If we are going on the cuteness factor, your baby girl wins…hands down!

Your pumpkin is darling and you did a great job with your cloche!! I just made one using a part from our old ceiling fan that stopped working- guess what part?
