Celebrate the Holidays, the NEW Tassel Party announcemnet and eye candy

by CHERI on November 3, 2009

First off–ladies start saving those toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls and wrapping paper rolls.  I have another fun project to show you for Christmas.  If you find different colors of cellophane on sale grab up some fun colors.
I will be gathering these colors– Fushia, Purple, green, yellow, red and any other fun colors I come across. If anyone has any great tips on where to get cellophane paper on sale let us know.

I have received so many comments on the tassel, and so many wanting to try to make some that I have decided to have a Tassel Party.
It will be Tuesday Nov 17— I made a button so please post the button on your side bar and spread the word.  If they need to know how to make a tassel they can go to this post  Make your own tassel tutorial   This party will be from Nov 17 and will end on Saturday Nov 21.  Grab your supplies and start making tassels.  It will be fun to see what everyone creates.

While we were in Missouri, I ran into one of my favorite shops and I told them about my blog and you gals and I was able to take lots of lovely pictures of their shop.  It is called Petals and Potpourri.  Sat, Oct 24th they had their 30th anniversary party.  I am just giving you a few sneak peak pictures of some of the Fall items in the shop.  I’ll do a post all about them in another post.  This will give you some eye candy to look at while my project dries-I’ll have to post it tomorrow. Click on the pictures to see the details.  I could walk through the shop 10 times and see something new every time.

I love these acorns-
This pumpkin tower made me think of Jane’s wire pumpkin tutorial
I loved the beaded bling on this Indian Corn
More Acorns
I hope you click on this picture to enlarge it.  It was so cute.
Do you see the mice running up the clock?

Celebrate the Holidays:

What is the Celebrate the Holidays party all about?

Celebrating, it can be at recipe, a DIY project, a room decorated, even something from a magazine that you love and would like to work on re-creating.

ANYONE is welcome to join the party

but I sure love my followers

and I try to make this the funnest blog on the block.

How do you join?

**You need to create a post about your item. (I suggest opening 2 browser windows so you can go back and forth-it just goes faster.) In your post you need to add my Celebrate the Holidays button (copy the code in the scroll box under the box and copy it into your post) or add the link to my post so people can find the party.

**You need to add the permalink (NOT your blog address). If you click on your post title, copy that code that appears in the address bar and then post it to MckLinky.

If you come back and your post is not here, it is because you forgot to do one of the above things, just fix it and re-post. I have been trying to come by and let people know if they forgot something but with our home school year underway, I can not guarantee that I can do that this week. We enjoy every new post and I appreciate everyone who has posted the party buttons on their side bar. You guys really do inspire me.

If you like what you see, click to follow me, leave me a comment with your blog name and be sure to let me know you followed me and I will come over and do the same.

I will post to these parties:

Cheri,
Thanks for the eye candy. I love that clock and I have one that looks very close to that one. You gave me some great ideals!

So glad to finally "meet" you! When I start my holiday-themed weeks (probably next week), I'll have to come back and share something fun. Thanks for the eye candy- can't wait to see the tassels.

Cheri! Cant wait to find out what you're going to do with the paper tubes! I've been throwing them away all summer and thinking that I should be saving them…arggh! Where is Petals and Potpourri? I'm going to be in the KC area for the PW book signing and if it's around there I would love to drop in and see all the goodies! Thanks for the pictures! PS it feels like Florida here today!

Hi Cheri! Thank you for stopping by junkblossoms. I look forward to getting to know you and your blog better. Have only been blogging for about three months and feel like I'm just getting to "know" everyone. I love the ideas you've shown us. This is just so much fun. Blessings, Pat
