The cobblestone town Its So Very Cottagey home tour

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am your guide again today. While we were in Missouri and Kansas last month, we went to visit our dear friends Glen and Michelle and their 4 kiddos. Their oldest son and my 2 oldest boys are best buds. They went off playing video games and soaking up every lost minute that they could with their friend. Miss G4 was playing with their 2 girls and soaking up girl time. G3 (4 yrs old) was playing with their little boy so while all the kiddos were playing and Prince Charming was checking some e-mails Michelle and I went through the house and I took pictures for a home tour.
We helped them move out of their other home into this home and then I went into labor and had Miss G4.
They live in a darling little town and it is so quaint. Their street is still a cobblestone road.
Welcome to their home.
This home is deceiving.  It is a 3 bedroom home but it is much bigger than it looks.
The rooms are all nice and big.
I love their mailbox and the brick porch and the RED front door.
 Come on it.  The living room and dining area are one big room.
I love the arched doorways.  It just adds to the charm of this home.
The doorway on the right leads into their school room.  They also home school.
Do you see that beautiful old antique piano?  My friend Michelle has that FREE piano because of Moi.  I just happened to be on Free Cycle one day and noticed that someone had posted a FREE piano in this quaint little town they had just moved to so I called her and told her to hurry and call because it might go fast.  They went to see it with a piano guy who told them it was in great shape, took friends to go pick it up and they now have a beautiful FREE piano that fits the character of their home so well.
Glen and their oldest son along with Michelle’s Dad made their youngest son this train table.  He had gotten a bunch of trains for Christmas last year.  Michelle’s Dad painted the table.
There is a hallway that goes straight through from the school room over to this doorway, that leads you to the bathroom.  They have great built in cabinets and still have all the beautiful door knobs.
At this point you can either go down the hall to the Master bedroom, go up the stairs or back into the living room. Let’s go take a quick peak at the Master Bedroom.  They still have the crib set up in their bedroom because they are wanting to have another baby and they are praying for twins.
Now lets go upstairs-I think those stairs are so charming.
At the top of the stairs is the girls doll house that was a gift from Glen’s Dad.
There is a bathroom and 2 bedrooms up stairs.
The boys room. Their oldest is a boy then there are 2 girls before they had their next boy. They have done a good job of combining the boys room and giving each of them their own space.
The youngest boy has a racecar bed.  Have you ever noticed that the word racecar is spelled the same way frontwards or backwards?
Both of the upstairs rooms have dormer areas.
Their oldest has all of his stuff.
The girls’ room
I want one of these little cafe tables for Miss G4–
Now we will go back downstairs to the living/dining room area
They have beautiful stained glass windows in their home.
A friend had this painted as a house warming gift:
Now through the doorway and we are in the kitchen.  This use to be the back of the house before the sun room was added.  There are stairs that take you down to the basement and a greenroom but I forgot to go down and get any pictures.
The Sunroom
Now we will head out to the back yard.
That weeping willow tree reminds me of a Huge weeping willow my Grandmother used to have in her yard.  It was so big the branches hung all the way down to the ground.  My Granddad left it like that and we would go under and play for hours under that tree, it was our own little hide away.
They have a de-tached garage.
There is the patio  and the greenroom that I didn’t get a picture of–Bad Bad Cheri.
I think the back of the house is as cute as the front.
Now we will head back in and say our final goodbye, with tears in our eyes.
That is the hardest part of being away-we miss our family and friends.
The guys
The girls
The 2 buds
Glen and Michelle, thank you so much for allowing us to tour your home.
