The G-force Family (the its so very cheri kiddos)

by CHERI on February 25, 2010

Tracy the Weekend blogger asked if the picture of the little girl in the flashing button –I followed the TUTE–was G4, my little girl. No it is not. G4 is quite animated and tells the most fantastic stories–the DRAMA PRINCESS takes after her DRAMA QUEEN mama. Anyhow–I decided to post a few pictures of the family.

All 4 of my kids were born with full heads of DARK hair–that gene came from their Mom. Their Dad and his 2 older brothers were all born bald.

Isn’t Prince Charming soooo cute. His oldest brother, top right is the one who just got married in Oct (our trip back to Kansas City). His middle brother, top left passed away a couple of years ago.

Isn’t my Grandmother’s couch LOVELY? Can you say slip cover.  There I am with that dark hair that my kiddos all had.  I wasn’t dark headed long though…

All 3 of my boys went blond too.  G1 stayed very blond  for a long time (now that he is in those teenage years he is getting a little darker), G2 started getting darker and darker and he has dark brown hair.  G3 is still a medium blond.

I thought G4 would go blonde just like the boys did but she didn’t she is my only one who keep her brown hair.

I thought you might enjoy some pictures.

I made all of her stuff.

G3 looks so much like his Daddy-O and Miss G4 looks so much like me.

Our kids call themselves the G-Force because all four of their names begin with the letter G.

I love this picture from a few years ago-she plopped down on her brother’s back and I asked them to take the photo.  They had to wait for her to quit hugging him first.

Let me just say – my M-I-L scheduled  this photo session, I don’t like the backdrop or even the Santa but I sure do LOVE THOSE KIDDOS.

You can see the concern on G3’s face.  He did exactly what he was supposed to do BUT as soon as the photos were done he wanted his Daddy-O to get him off his lap.

These photos were taken a year and a half ago, right before we moved from Kansas City.

This is from Christmas 2008.  I did not go get Santa photos this year.

The mall here has a stupid policy (and we only have one mall in this tiny little town).  You can not even have your kids sit on Santa’s lap without BUYING one of the package deals.

YOU CAN NOT TAKE ANY OF YOUR OWN PHOTOS, even if you buy a package.

We bought the CD in 2008 and I think it was $30-can you say OVER PRICED-and it was the cheapest.

The photo preview was behind the desk, so little you couldn’t tell what you were looking at anyway and the people were very rude.

We decided we were not going to go back up there this year.

2009 was the first time I didn’t have a Santa photo.

Miss G4 was sick and fell asleep on the way and did not wake up the entire time.

I need to get new photos.  My big boys have changed SOOOO much.  I was about to take them all for pictures when Miss G4 gave herself t

THE MULLET.

They are all adorable, Cheri! Although don’t tell your older boys that. They probably think they are past the adorable phase! Mine were born with my hubby’s hair ~ light brown with beautiful gold and blond highlights throughout. Women pay for that! Over the years though their hair went brown ~ just like hubby’s. I was born with dark brown {almost black hair} and, even with some highlighting I had done recently, the base is still a dark brown. Love the outdoor shots ~ they always seem a bit more natural. Mine are older now {19 and 23} and I really need to get an updated family picture of all of us.

It’s funny, as I get older my hair gets darker and curlier. Interesting. I was bald at birth and stayed like that for a good year. So was Lola. Now she has very long and curly blond hair. The curls are from Ryan’s side, the blond from mine (my dad I think, if I look at old pictures of him). Funny how we pass on little bits and pieces of ourselves into these wonderful new people. Yours are absolutely beautiful!

I know my hair gets darker and curlier too. G1 is a combo of his dad and I but looks a lot like his dad but has the lighter hair. Prince Charming almost has black hair. G2 looks more like me but he has the dark hair like his Dad. G3 looks so much like his Dad but he has blonde hair–it sometimes has a strawberry cast to it and I have no idea where that came from. Then Miss Goo looks like me but has the darker hair and I think as she gets older she will have the almost black hair like her Dad because he was blonde as a toddler and she has never been blonde.

They might be mortified. They would use the word HOT.
