I don’t typically post anything political but I had a follower send this to me and I think this is important enough to post.
How do you feel about Congressmen/woman & Senators getting FABULOUS health care for them and their family members but then voting on something for the American Peoples that does not even resemble what they get to use.
Look at this little benefit they get, just for doing a poor job and not getting re-elected:
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, enacted February 17, 2009, provides a new health insurance opportunity for former employees who were or are involuntarily terminated between September 1, 2008, and December 31, 2009. Under this new law, former Federal employees may request premium assistance for their temporary continuation of coverage (TCC) under the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program. Premium assistance means your former agency will make a Government contribution of 65 percent of the TCC premiums for your FEHB plan enrollment.
On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment
that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new government-run health plan..
It took me less than a minute to sign up to require our congressmen and senators to drink at the same trough!
Three cheers for Congressman John Fleming of Louisiana !Congressman John Fleming ( Louisiana physician)
has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same
healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt).
Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and Sign his petition (it is very simple to do this – just email).
I have just done just that at:
Fleming
Fleming on health care
Please urge as many people as you can to do the same!
If Congress forces this on the American people, the Congress should have to accept the same level of health care for themselves and their families.
To do otherwise is the height of hypocrisy!
Grab the info and pass it on–we (bloggers) can be a powerful force. If you don’t want to do a post about it, post a link and send them to my blog.

Yep and I saying a big ole hearty AMEN sister. Be blessed. Cindy
I’ve already signed ths petition. I am so for politicians having the same health care. Maybe the they would have read what they passed. It galls me that they don’t even know what they voted for. they just blindly voted.
I typically do not political either, but seriously…they need to be an example…all of them.
I don’t ever get into politics on my blog, but I definitely follow politics. Don’t even get me started. The media is finally revealing what is actually in the HC bill that Congress members never even read before they signed it and it isn’t pretty. That’s all I will say. Thanks for posting. People really need to take part in the political process … our children depend on us to do so.
Yeah that is just great! We are business owners and I just love how all of a sudden (within the last year) things are not looking good for us. We would be better off quitting and going on welfare. Let’s encourage a whole country to be lazy and dependent because they know they will be taken care of! I will go to the site right now!
I sent out an email about this same thing to about 30+ in hopes they will pass it on. I agree and the more I read about the entire plan, the more I weep for this country.
