Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Ingredients:

1 Cup butter flavored shortening

1/2 Cup white sugar

1/2 Cup brown sugar (packed)

3 Cups of rolled oats

3 Cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 Cup of milk

PLUS

IN A ONE CUP MEASURING CUP–crack an egg into the cup, add 1tsp of vanilla THEN fill it up the rest of the way with milk

1 bag of chocolate chips

Directions:

Cream together the shortening and both sugars.  Add in oats and continue creaming together the mixture.  Add in the flour,soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and milk mixture and cream together.

This recipe is more of a cake type cookie.  Fold in the chocolate chips.  Drop a rounded teaspoon (or Tablespoon if you like your cookies a little bigger) onto a vegetable sprayed cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Tried the chocolate chip oatmeal cookie recipe, it was fabulous. My boys, hubby too loved them!
