This beautiful Nautical Decoration will keep all the life guards away.
I made a life preserver wreath out of a pool noodle, electrical tubing, Gorilla Glue tape, cotton twill ribbon from Ribbon Retreat, and a few straight pins.
I grabbed a pool noodle and cut it down to shorten it just a little. Basically you will need to eye ball it to get an idea of how big you want your circle and where to cut. If you cut too much off you can add it back in.
I ran to the hardware store and grabbed some electric tubing. It is used on air conditioners. It is somewhat flexible. The great thing about it-you can use your blow dryer to heat it up and make it into the more rounded shape that you need. I pushed it in through the center hole then used Gorilla Glue tape to hold it together. That tape is so strong. I didn’t need to hot glue it together, just a little tape did the trick.
My first cut was too small so I added some of my tubing back in.
-After seeing the finished product I wish I had bought more of the electrical tubing so I could have made 4 cuts and attached the pool tube back together for a little smoother circle but all in all I still love it.
I had ordered Natural/Ivory Twill, Navy Twill and Grey Twill. (I was pretty excited about this project and posted about it on my facebook as soon as the order was placed.)
I LOVE Ribbon Retreat Ribbon. It is so affordable and the site offers so many great ideas.
I wrapped the Natural/Ivory Twill Cotton Ribbon around the wreath. I overlapped the previous ribbon so you could not see any of the pool tubing peaking through. I made sure it was all pretty evenly wrapped at about the same distance between each wrap.
All I did was pin the end of the ribbon to the underneath side, making it versatile to change it up if I wanted.
I added a little of the NAVY Twill Ribbon and then folded the GREY Twill Ribbon in half and pinned it in place.
I made a GREY loop to hang the wreath and added a NAVY Twill bow to the top.
I love the NATURAL feel of the COTTON TWILL RIBBON. It is so soft.
I think it would also be adorable in the RED TWILL as well.
I think it would be gorgeous in the Natural Twill with only the GREY TWILL accents. Don’t you?
Because the ribbon is pinned in place I removed the GREY TWILL to show how easy it is to change it up. I showed it with the BUOYS I made.
You can make your own BUOYS too.
Here I displayed it with other Nautical/Beachy decor, leaving the wreath VERY SIMPLE. I showcased it with My Yacht Club–faux BEADBOARD sign. The tutorial can be found {HERE}

I really LOVE the LOOK of the Natural Twill with the gray board and the white beach sign.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my NAUTICAL – BEACH INSPIRED Wreath.. I am honored.
I was sent ribbon from Ribbon Retreat for my project. I was not compensated for my project. All ideas and thoughts are my own.
