We lived in Lees Summit for 10 years and loved it. When we moved away, we craved being back in our home town. We moved back in December (2013) and rented a place for 6 months to give us time to look. We thought we would find our home in Lees Summit but God had different plans- he placed us in a house that we love, in a neighborhood that we love and it is not in Lees Summit. It is in Grain Valley- about 20 minutes away.

I have a couple of signs that I made when we were in Florida- that shows you our love for Lees Summit.

We have no intention of getting rid of our signs- it is all part of our family’s history but I asked my Dad to make me a sign- he is a retired Hallmark Cards artist and he loves old vintage signs. I wanted it to have our new home town name on it. It also gave me a piece made by my Dad and I love it.

The letters are raised.  It is a fun piece.  I love the brush strokes.
