The Coffee Bar
In the hearth room there is/was a wet bar. My sister had the fabulous idea to make it into a coffee bar.

You can see the bar to the right of the fireplace.

I started by painting the back wall in chalkboard paint and the other walls white.

You can click to check out all of our CHALKBOARD PROJECTS including the 2 that we did in the kitchen and heart area.

We plan to take the doors off and have it open.

We ordered these brackets on etsy and installed them into the studs.

I think this table would look amazing on our covered patio, off the kitchen.

We had an old piece of board that we cut and made shelves.

We plan to do some additional work on the boards.

I’m trying to decide if I like the silver against the black brackets or if I should paint them black.

The 2 shelves hold our tea, coffee and some of our coffee cups.

I have 2 jars with k-cups in them.

I plan to get some more cute jars for the tea.

A couple of ice cream parlor cups to hold spoons and reusable k-cups

and a bowl for some loose tea bags and some coffee.

We had a black granite sink put in when we had the granite installed.

We have a black granite sink in the kitchen as well.

I love the combination of the black, white and the wood.

We aren’t done yet. We need to add the hardware.

I’m still trying to decide if I am going to leave these this wood color, paint them white or do a weathered wood finish on them.

We have to finish above the granite.

I wish they had cut the granite a little taller to cover where the laminate was .

We may do tile or we may do a trim– decisions, decisions.

So this is part 1 of the coffee bar but we are getting close to being able to knock this project off of our list.
