A project in Honor of my Cousin

by CHERI on August 18, 2010

I donated my Fleur de lis gone Beverly Hillbillies to the 7th Annual Trash to Treasure Charity Auction in St. Charles, MN, in honor of my cousin GaleAnne who survived breast cancer and runs Marathons now. GaleAnne is truly a survivor and I love her dearly. She lost both her Dad and Mom (my aunt and uncle) and her only sibling her sister (my cousin) to cancer. I could not have picked a more deserving person to donate my project in honor of.

The auction, hosted each year by the Pfarkel Sisters of Junk {Re}defined (in photo above), donates all net proceeds from the auction to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. If you have a project that you’d like to donate – there’s still time (although very little!)
Check it out—

If you live nearby –make plans to visit. I sure would.

There are lots of fun give-a-ways over there.

It’s also time to vote on your favorite DIY project over at the DIY Club!

What project will you enter next month? It’s so easy to enter and the prizes are awesome! Our prize package this month is $500.

Cheri how very sweet of you to donate your pretty piece for the auction. It is such a neat item I bet it will bring lots of $ hopefully and will go to a home that loves it!

Thank you again for your great blog!
