When Miss Goo (also known as Miss G4) was born my mother-in-law bought this lamp for her room. The lamp is adorable but not the perfect color combo for her room. The other thing that always bothered me was the lamp base–it was a different color and didn’t match the lamp. It was a pretty design but it bugged me. The other day right after re-painting her dressers, I decided to pull out the paints and do some magic on her lamp.
I dry brushed over the base–it was not repainted just softened up the colors.
I left the ballet slippers but painted everything else.
I used DecoArt– white wash, poodleskirt and pink chiffon. I also used their Gloss enamels -silver and white.
Now her lamp matches. It goes with other accents in her room like the “rose” plate I painted for her.
I like it so much better–how about you?

Much better. The blue crown was just wrong. What a cute tablescape.
